F. Warren Litchfield, 90, of Macomb passes away at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield.
Warren was born in McDonough County on July 9, 1927 to Fred and Garnet Hayes Litchfield. He married Dorothy L Stoneking on May 22, 1948. Together they were the parents of Sherry and Randy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, brother Wendell, sister Alene Atkinson, son Randy and infant grandson Tyler Joseph Peterson.
Warren served in the United States Army. Prior to that he worked as a civilian mechanic at Camp Ellis.
Warren had many jobs over his lifetime, but most people will remember him from King Seely Thermos. He last worked and retired from the WIU Building Services.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Warren enjoyed the life he and Dorothy made together and the family they created.
Left to cherish his memory are daughter Sherry (Ray) Peterson of Macomb, daughter-in-law Terra Litchfield of Macomb, sister Mary Irwin of Macomb, brother William Litchfield of Alexis, grandchildren Stacie Thompson of Macomb, Derek (Lisa) Litchfield of Macomb, Rebecca (Scott) Wayland of Ashland, Kristen (Scott) Terry of Macomb and Trevor M. Peterson of Springfield and great-grandchildren Lauren Thompson of Macomb, Elise Zeigler of Macomb, Olivia and Scotlynn Terry of Macomb, Heidi and Zachery Wayland of Ashland.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2007 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Pastor David McHenry of the First Baptist Church of Ashland officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb where full military rites will be conducted by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in memory of Randy.
