Kenneth Faeh StevensNovember 15, 1923 ~ March 27, 2017 (age 93)
Kenneth Faeh Stevens, 93, of Good Hope went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 3 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Grand Prairie Assisted Living Center in Macomb.
He was born on November 15, 1923 in Smithfield, Illinois to Estey and Elsie Tarter Stevens. He married Marjorie Chambers on December 27, 1945 in Macomb. She passed away on March 7, 2017.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Debby Stevens; one grandson, Brett Beam and one brother, Harold Stevens.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Sherry (Terry) Beam of We-Ma-Tuck, Sandy (Mitchell) Welsh of Blandinsville and Denise (Chet) Jacobus of East Peoria; 7 grandchildren, Brian (Aimee) Beam, Brad (Sarah) Beam, Steve (Tiffani) Welsh, Shannon (Renee) Welsh, Ashley (Brad) Mahony, Jenna Hilton and Stephanie (Matt) Bates; 3 step-grandchildren, John (Heidi) Jacobus, Jenni (John) Markello and Jim (Laura) Jacobus; 18 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren and one sister, Ilene Derry of Smithfield.
Kenneth lived most of his life in the Good Hope area moving there in 1951. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb. He taught agriculture at Cuba, Athens and Northwestern until his retirement in 1968. He then worked for FBFM at the University of Illinois retiring in 1985 and was currently working as a private tax accountant. He was a Navy veteran.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb with Reverend Dr. Howard White officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to services. Full military rites will be conducted following the services at the church by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW. Private burial of ashes will be in Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Honor Flight or ALS Foundation.
