Larry A. Graves, 79, of Macomb passed away at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on October 2, 1938 in Macomb to Cecil and Garnett Reed Graves. He married Mary E. Thompson Rogers on April 9, 1994 in Good Hope. She survives.
Also surviving two sons, Jeffrey Scott (Beth) Graves of Lexington, Kentucky and Bryan (Angie) Graves of Macomb; one daughter, Amber (Derek) Hiland of Sycamore; one step-son, Steven Rogers of Murphysboro,; one step-daughter, Wendy Greer of Carbondale; two granddaughters, Katybeth Robertson of Utah and Kali Quigley of Texas; two grandsons, Micheal Graves of Macomb and Tyler Hiland of Sycamore, one great-granddaughter, Riley Robertson of Utah, and one sister Dianne Elliott of Morton,Illinois..
He was preceded in death by one son, Lennie; one grandson, Carter; two brothers, Floyd and Allen Lee and one foster brother, Frankie Simpson.
Larry lived all of his life in the Macomb area. He worked as a mechanic for many years at M & H Auto Supply, Larrys Machine Shop, MAC Ford, Hillyer Construction and Woodrums dealership.
He was a member of the Macomb Masonic Lodge #17, 50 year member of the Macomb Elks, Macomb Eagles, Lifetime member of Goldwing Roadsiders Association and a member of Jerusalem Methodist Church.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Mark Wolford officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Judes, Jerusalem Methodist Church Building Fund or MDH Hospice.
