Lloyd R. Mason, 76, of Table Grove, formerly of Industry and Good Hope passed away at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019 at his residence.
Lloyd was born on May 2, 1943 in Macomb to Lawrence E. and Ruth Simon Mason. He married Beverly DeMott on June 22, 1968 and they were married 51 years and 18 days. She survives.
Also surviving are one sister, Lois Mason of Quincy; brother-in-laws, Roger (Miriam) DeMott of Webster, New York and David (Lauri) DeMott of Ipava; sister-in-laws, Lois Richardson of Temecula, California, Vonetta (Evan) Morgan of Ipava and Marjorie (George) Long of Adair; special nephew, Roger DeMott; special niece, Tiamaris Gordon; several other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his adopted parents, Doris and Ross DeMott, and brother-in-law, Gerald DeMott.
Lloyd and Beverly lived in Good Hope and Industry before moving to Table Grove.
Lloyd worked for M&H Auto Supply, Tweed Mummert, Bob Root and later worked for Farm King for 20 years in the tire shop where he was chosen employee of the month in October, 1991.
He loved fast cars and riding his motorcycle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Reverend A. Lee Unger officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Vermont Cemetery. Following the graveside service the family wants to invite everyone back to the Macomb VFW for a meal.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to McDonough District Hospital (MDH) Hospice and Table Grove Fire and Rescue Squad.
