Aileen M. (Cooper) Lankford-Brandon, 98, of Macomb, formerly of Fountain Green passed away at 6:25 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born on November 28, 1921 near Bath, Illinois, the daughter of John Henry and Mabel Marie Gregory Cooper. She married Gilbert Andrew Lankford on August 5, 1940. He passed away on December 21, 1980. She later married Baxter Brandon on August 12, 1987. He passed away on February 14, 2019.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald Lankford; on son-in-law, Gerry Fowler; one grandson, Kevin Lankford; one great-grandson, Collin Cassiday; three sisters, Judith Matthews, Dorothy Combes and Helen Richardson and one brother, John Henry Cooper Jr.
Aileen is survived by her children, Donna Fowler of Hannibal, Missouri and Delbert (Connie) Lankford of Vermont, Illinois; one daughter-in-law, Mala Lankford of Smithshire, Illinois; four grandchildren, Brian (Lori) Fowler, Richard (Tammy) Fowler, Carla (James) Sweney and Laura (Tom) Stroops; one granddaughter-in-law, Tina Lankford; four step-grandchildren, Christopher Cassiday, Lisa (Tony) Holtschlag, Robert Cassiday and Steven Cassiday; seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Maurine Schisler of Lewistown, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Nelda Jo Cooper of Lewistown, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.
She worked at F.H. Woolworth Company for 26 ½ years. She then worked for T.G.&Y for almost 6 years. She enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family.
Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb with Reverend A. Lee Unger officiating.
