Michael R. Howe, 59, of Bushnell passed away at 2:04 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
He was born on June 4, 1960 in Good Hope to Gene and Viola Howa. He married Felicia Protsman on Janaury 15, 1990 in Macomb. She survives.
Also surviving are his father, Gene Howe of Good Hope; two sons, Lance (Angel Waughtel) Haines of Macomb and Austin Howe of Bushnell; one granddaughter, Alivia Haines of Macomb; one sister, Cindy Soule of Blandinsville; one brother, Russell (Mary Lou) Howe of Good Hope; several aunts and uncles; one niece and several nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Viola; one brother, Jim Howe; one nephew, Steven Howe and one brother-in-law, Robbie Soule.
Michael attended Trenton College in Trenton, Missouri and lived in Bushnell since 1999. He worked as a corrections officer in Canton at the Illinois River State Corrections Facility.. Michael was a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Good Hope Cemetery with Reverend A. Lee Unger officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Bushnell Fire Department.
